If you haven’t heard already.
Me Myself I ( Mark). Am Selling the shop. (Or trying to anyway)
Gasp!!! Oh no I hear you say.
Yes I am afraid it has to be. I was assembling the aforementioned café racer at home and not having fun doing it. THAT IS JUST WRONG. What it means is. I have lost the Hobby/Work split. They have merged together and the whole bike shop thing has ruined what I love most. And that is building bikes. So it is now time for me to have a change. I will keep everyone posted as to the situation as things change. For now anyway. I am still there flogging away trying to help all and sundry with their problems. (Nothing medical please ).
Now after telling you all the big news. I am amazed at how many of you read this web site.
So to update you all. We were in negotiations on selling the place and they have stalled due to lack of finance at this time. So if you have a spare $300,000 in your back pocket. And you want to own an iconic shop. The offer is still open. (The sooner the better as I want to go on the ride with my buds down to Little Big Horn.)
ALSO. If any of you keeners out there like throwing wrenches about, and you are out of work at the moment. We have an opening to help out in the yard and the workshop. The applicant has to be MAD to start with. I don’t want any law suits from mothers blaming me for turning their poor child into a gibbering lunatic fit only to perform in episodes of Faulty Towers.
But seriously anyone who is keen and understands mechanics is welcome. (With, or without a funny nose.)

During the summer months we are open from 10.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Open Saturday from 10.00am to 5.00pm
In the winter months we close Sunday AND Monday otherwise the hours remain the same. Please don’t phone out of hours to leave a message on the answer machine. It is normally not switched on and I won’t listen to it anyway. I know I sound like a right miserable git. But scouts honor I am not.
Well the unveiling of the Norton Café racer and the Honda Speedway bike went off OK. Apart from me getting a some of my wucking mords fuddeled, during the welcome intro. It all seemed to go off quite well. The weather was a bit on the Grimm side and as consequence we probably only had between 50 to 60 people show up. I had enough food to feed the 5000 on the mount and enough beer to prevent any of them driving there chariots home.
The bottom line is that those who showed had a good time and everyone likes the bikes. And I will give a big thank you to all who did show for their support.
Being as the queen refuses to give us a Knighthood, we decided to give ourselves a crest. The ribbon shape at the top of the shield is a representation of a motorcycle (We think). The axe to the left of the shield represents the chopping or cutting up of the bikes. The broken piston represents misfortune. The Latin (Not French) in the top scroll says Lucror Conficio Infelicitas, it means – profit from misfortune. It is what we try to do, and the laughing skull customers tell us, is Mark our master builder after he made a deal on a bike.
By getting to know us, we can help you in getting to know your machine. We can also steer you in the right direction when it comes to doing any major alterations. We have helped many customers with there creations, sometimes we just give advice. On other occasions we do the alterations ourselves. We have a fully adjustable frame jig, and welding equipment to cater to the majority of major alterations. We have a very bad sense of humor. So if we appear to be a bit loony, don’t worry – this is normal. The best thing you can do is come down and find out what we do when no one is looking. See you soon.
